Advanced cooling analysis
from Rittal
Rittal's RiTherm
system allows validation of cooling dynamics even before a particular
system is built by using a combination of thermal load boards and
a thermal system based on the CompactPCl (CPCI) architecture. This
new product offers sophisticated evaluation and measurement of cooling
in CPCI Systems that are based on 6U boards and can also evaluate
power supply quality on CPCI backplanes.
The thermal
load board is a concept that lets users validate the thermal characteristics
of their system before all PCBs are designed and is a 6U CPCI form
factor instrumentation board with a resistive heating array and
sensors for temperature and airflow. The RiTherm System consists
of a 10U CPCI Subrack equipped with two hot swappable 12V RiCool
blowers, a CPCJ backplane.
