Hannover Messe - June 2002

Neat, easy programming

Using type 314 to 317 CPUs from VIPA offers a neat way to program CANopen automation components using STEP7 from Siemens. Drive applications with integrated CAN interfaces can interwork simply with Profibus DP, and decentralised control functions can be combined.

Programming takes place using with VIPA WInPLC7 or the STEP7 from Siemens. The memory capacity is from 40kByte to 512kByte and short cycle times (0.18/kByte working at bit level and 0.78ms/kByte using words) ensure good performance. Optional extras for the CPUs include connection onto Ethernet.
