Mitsubishi
electric's MELSEC System Q controller system was demonstrated at
the show featuring motion control functionality and integrated IT
technology, with the addition of full-featured PC modules.
Up to four
CPUs can be installed in each system, and the alternative Q00J,
Q00 and Q01 low end CPUs add versatility. Additionally the new SX
controller turns a PC module into an IEC 1131 control component.
This 'soft PLC' lets a user allocate control tasks to individual
CPU types.
If there are
less time-critical control tasks then the Soft PLC function can
run concurrently with other Windows applications.
