Many interface options for sensors

Position sensor manufacturer ASM (Stand N15) will launch an exciting new range of sensors using different technologies to provide the exact solution for position measurement applications, particularly those which are unusual and difficult.

Many sensors can be programmed for offset, range and current/voltage output and new options include incremental encoder, absolute encoder, Profibus, CANopen, Interbus-S and RS232 output together with a range of 'mechanics only' sensors allowing OEMs to fit their own encoders or potentiometers.

POSIMAG, the new ASM Magnetoresistive positioning system which is accurate to 20 microns will be displayed together with new miniature cable actuated position sensors and new long range sensors. The company will also show the latest range of HIOKI high quality instruments to include memory recorders with Ethernet interfaces, power analysers, a waveform generator and simulator, earth leakage testers, impedance meters, portable test instruments and battery testers.
