M90 Micro OPLC has PID built in

The palm-sized M90 micro-OPLC now offers multi-loop PID control. The M90 combines the flexibility of PLC logic and simple programming methods to smoothly regulate 4 parallel PID loops, making Closed Loop Control a snap.

The new feature is supplied with selected M90 controllers. PID control, along with other new features such as MB-to-MI MI-to-MB conversions and Shift Register functions, are embedded in a new M90 Operating System (OS) recently released by Unitronics. Most existing M90 units can easily be enabled with these new features by simply downloading the new OS, which is provided as freeware. No changes are required to the M90 hardware.

The M90 OPLC controller series is available in 8 competitively priced models. All members of the series include an integral HMI Operating Panel comprising a programmable LCD screen and keypad. Each model contains a different on-board I/O configuration, featuring analog and digital I/Os, including high-speed counters/shaft and encoder/frequency measures. A compatible line of plug-in I/O Expansion Modules is provided in 8 models, and can add up to 64 I/Os to single M90 including analog and digital I/Os plus PT100. Communications options include RS232 and CANbus, as well as remote programming and system access, and SMS messaging capabilities.
