Field attachable splitter
box
An m12 field
attachable splitter box - which not only allows multiple wiring
from sensors and actuators to be linked together and then connected
back to the control panel via a single cable - now also gives the
machine builder the choice of type and length of cable with which
to make that connection.
The Brad Harrison
splitter box, developed by Woodhead Connectivity, is available in
4, 6 or 8-way configurations. It incorporates a detachable screw
terminal which allows various types of cabling to be easily fitted
for connection back to the control panel. In addition, the connection
clamp on the new splitter box can be rotated through 90¡ to provide
a choice of cable entry positions suitable for differing installations.
Apart from
reducing the complexity and volume of cabling used in a machine's
control system, the new factory assembled and tested field attachable
splitter box also provides one-piece plug-in facilities for sensors
and actuators creating simplified fault finding and easy replacement.
It also features twin I/O connection as standard, plus LED indication
of power and function.
