HMI builds in web browser software

Busy engineers using the latest workstations, can now connect to their existing serial ports via the USB port, using Digi's Edgeport connections technology.

The Edgeport range is the only USB device that currently works with Windows NT4, making it a must-have technology for process and manufacturing engineers with NT systems. Several multi-port models are available with 2, 4, 8 and 16 ports and they come with plug-and-play installation software for Windows 2000, 95, 98, NT 4.0, NT Embedded, CE, SE, ME and Linux.

Available from Entrix Computing, the Edgeport range allows multiple serial devices to be connected via a single USB connection. Edgeports give hot-swappable, intelligent connectivity to any USB-enabled PC in minutes. The result is that any combination of serial devices can be easily attached, without either shutting down the system or rebooting.
