New strategic alliance
promotes M16C
Mitsubishi
Electric Europe has established a strategic alliance with IAR Systems
of Sweden for developing new MakeApp development tools for the Mitsubishi
M16C series of microcontrollers. IAR Systems is working in a partnership
with Mitsubishi to market and sell these development tools worldwide.
IAR MakeApp
shortens development time and reduces time to market when developing
products based on Mitsubishi M16C microcontroller devices. Driver
development time can be reduced from weeks to just minutes by using
IAR MakeApp, giving customers a competitive edge when developing
new microprocessor controlled products such as telecommunications
equipment, automotive and consumer electronics or aerospace systems.
M16C/80 continues
the Mitsubishi trend for low power operation, typically consuming
just 45mA at 5V/20MHz. New features of the MCU group include instruction
cycle reduction, operating frequency enhancement, even better memory
usage and C language code efficiency, plus high speed interrupt
programming.
