OPC Interface: DriveServer
convinces in action
Remote
maintenance, acquisition of production data, easier commissioning
and process visualisation are four application examples in which
the Lenze DriveServer has proven itself.
Using the OPC-based
DriveServer and the appropriate parameter setting software, plant
builders can easily communicate with the machine via a PC and modem
for maintenance purposes, reading the device data at the bit level.
Recently, Lenze
implemented data transfer by means of a Siemens S7. By isolating
data
channels, devices
such as frequency inverters or servo inverters can also communicate
through the S7, opening the way for the complete diagnostics of
an entire system.
Using the OPC
interface as the basis for the entire automation of a plant reduces
time and costs required for system engineering.
Interfaces
with web servers and operation by means of a web browser round off
the innovative DriveServer concept.
