motor subsidiary Anorad is introducing brushless linear positioning
systems and components. One drive, aimed at applications such as
pick-and-place robots, is capable of 6m/s velocity and 6G acceleration.

Baldor’s energy
efficient motors comply with Eff1 and Eff2 efficiency ratings. Some
of the Super-E motors have efficiencies above 96%. Baldor reports
that another key market for the company is that for its ‘intelligent
drive’.

New from vacon
is an AC inverter with separate power and control sections, credit
card sized I/O modules, an external 24V DC supply to test control
functions without mains power, and built in EMC filters.
