Tiny motors deliver higher torques

Portescap now has a tiny 8mm diameter motor which it says delivers 50% more torque than other motors of a similar size. Also new are 16mm motors which the company claims easily match the performance of 22mm units, plastic bodied spur gearboxes, and three brushless 22mm motors which offer long life and running speeds up to 50,000 rpm.

Applications for these compact products include medical equipment, security and access control, instrumentation and industrial automation.
