Linux support for Softing CAN card

Softing has now released Linux support for its popular PC-104 format CAN cards. Available with one or two channels of Can bus protocol the CAN-ACx/104 cards provide a high performance interface to embedded PCs. This is achieved with an on board 16-bit microcontroller and dual port RAM for message buffering.

The driver has been implemented using kernel version 2.4.20 of the Linux OS. The new Linux driver is available in binary and source form free of charge from Softing's web site at www.softing.com. All Softing CAN cards have a common application programming interface.
